Hi Simon,
I just wanted to say how I really enjoyed the course this week. I learned loads and plan to keep practicing my woodworking skills so my results become a little less rustic!
I reworked the piece I brought home with me, this morning and produced a much neater but still snug fitting joint. So small signs of success.
Thank you so much for a really absorbing couple of days.

EXCELLENT COURSE WITH AN INSPIRING TEACHER

I took this Maintenance course to improve skills and hopefully be able to do a lot of the jobs on my house and also for my family members.
The beauty of this course is that I could do it at the weekend over a 2 weekend (4days) period and still be able to work my normal job.
Robin was my teacher and he has lots of stories and wisdom that he tells to not only make the class fun and interesting but also compounds what you have just learned to remember forever.
I would definitely recommend this course to anyone who wants to get into DIY and maintenance.
Just being able to do a few jobs around your house by yourself would more than pay for the course over and over

The course was very insightful, making me feel comfortable to tackle current and future home issues. The practical exercises really helped me get a better idea of what to do and the pictures Robin used during his lessons while helpful to see the problems and how to solved them, however i did feel there was a missed opportunity of having an hands on exercise in installing cisterns. Overall I learnt a lot and thank you Robin for teaching us and sharing your stories to help the information really sink in.
