Just thought I'd drop you a picture of my effort following my bricklaying course. I was on the course 2/3 months ago.
There are lots of things I would redo given the time. More bird-lips than an aviary and the levels are suspect in a few places!
However - 8 pillars and the base more or less English Bond - importantly it should take a hurricane to move it. I now have to make some fences to go between the pillars.
I learned a lot during the process. My wife tells me that I no longer glance at attractive women but say "look at the brickwork on that building!"
