New for 2011

Refurbishment of the School

It's now been 4 years since we opened our doors and thousands of people have learnt new skills with us. In that time, we've had lots of feedback from you the customers and learnt a thing or two about what people want. To make sure we keep giving you the best training money can buy,for January 2011, we will have a fresh new look, with brand new upgraded training facilities, including a dedicated decorating area. We will also be bringing you new courses, new locations around the country and much much more, so watch this space !!

Joinery - Door Hanging

Electric Underfloor Heating and Wet Rooms

The DIY School

Ian Grant fitting his first door on the new joinery course in August. After practicing fitting sash, rim and mortice locks on a door blank, he finally puts all his new skills to the test in building his door casing and hanging the door.

Dates are as follows: 11th & 12th October, 16th & 17th October and the 8th & 9th November.

The cost of the course will be £225

Underfloor Heating and Wetroom Course

The DIY School in conjunction with Danfoss Devimat and Ardex tiling products, will be launching an exciting new course in the Autumn. Using the best products available in the market today, students will learn how to install the Devi underfloor heating mat, along with a thermostat and controller. Using Ardex self levelling compound, the students will then tile over the heating mat.

Utilising Ardex waterproofing systems, students will learn how to prepare a wet room, incorporating different floor types and drainage systems.
