The DIY School is next to J27 on the M60 in Stockport, Cheshire, located in Meadow Mill. This is found next to the new Tesco supermarket. Parking is free and plentiful.

The school occupies a spacious area of the mill that is clean, light and safe.

The extensive space that we have means that the training bays are designed without compromise. As a result we are able to incorporate many aspects of real world situations that will prepare you more completely for your first home or professional task.

In a climate where the waste of world resources is topical, The DIY School has designed many of its courses to run without creating unnecessary waste. For example tiling will be run in a bay that has just been used for plastering or decorating. Similarly DIY Tool Use or DIY Maintenance will use recently plastered bays. This maintains a conscientious approach to the environment and helps us to offer competitive prices and gives students fresh surfaces upon which to learn.

Also this attention to detail means that our customers are not expected to spend valuable learning time demolishing their bays before, during or after the course. Every moment that you have paid for is spent on learning.
