DIY For Women

Women exploit their capabilities on Plastering Courses, Tiling Courses, Bricklaying Courses, Decorating Courses & DIY Courses in Manchester.

DIY Courses For Women at The DIY School in Stockport have enabled all of our female customers to achieve amazing results as do our female teachers!

DIY For Women

Whether on the Beginners DIY Tool Use Course or further Home Maintenance Course for tackling day to day DIY repairs in the home or tackling more substantial home improvement projects through our Decorating Courses, Tiling Courses, Plastering Courses and Bricklaying Courses, everybody tells us of how they have amazed themselves, fiends and families after attending The DIY School. They also tell us of how enjoyable the learning process was in the mixed classes at The DIY School.

On this page you can link to just some of the success stories written by the women themselves with some great photographs of their recent achievements. We would like to think that you too may appear on our list of success stories in the near future.

DIY For Women

Read about Debbie Hatton's Plastering Course experiences; the amazing results achieved by Dee Hamilton and her daughter Emma after the Essential Tiling Course and how Tracey and Catherine traded in traditional careers to become self employed decorators in Durham thanks to The DIY School Essential Painting and Decorating Course. Read how Jo's time on the Bricklaying Course for Garden Walls enabled her to build a step for her Mum as a first project in August 2009

Our experience shows that women are exceptional learners and at The DIY School we have yet to find a female student unable to complete the course that they have chosen to a high standards. Be it Basic DIY Tool Use or Property and Home Maintenance through to our project based courses such as Plastering or Tiling, our female customers consistently go on to produce work equal to and often better than some of their male course colleagues.

So if you are feeling apprehensive about starting on a DIY learning curve then have no fear. You will be amongst others in similar situations, all equally as apprehensive yet with a hunger to learn. What we can happily say is that you will find a new found confidence and independence and we would be surprised if, like so many others, we don't see you back again for the next steps on the DIY learning Ladder.

"I just wanted to thank you for the DIY tools use course. I am very pleased to say that since being on the course last week a mirror, shelf and two clocks have adorned the walls of my house and are still in place! The course was pitched at exactly the right level and obviously in a way that I could practically take my learning home. I have since spoken to a number of women who have expressed an interest in joining the DIY ranks and will hopefully be in touch with you and join courses. Thanks once again.
