Tiling Course Student Lee's sstory tells how The DIY School Tiling Courses in Manchester helped him to quickly change career and avoid the ill effects of redundancy.
After 12 years as a lab technician, the offer of voluntary redundancy from a major North West pharmaceutical company seemed the ideal opportunity for Lee to pursue his child hood dream of working in the building industry.
Since enrolling on The DIY School’s Essentials Tiling Course Lee has never looked back. After impressing a builder with his first tiling job, Lee secured full time employment just 7 days after the end of his 4 day Tiling Course.
During this time, Lee has completed large Tiling Projects to Bathrooms & Kitchens on both walls and flooring using a range of materials. Lee found that the sound foundation that he gained from the Essentials Tiling Course enabled him to quickly tackle new challenges with confidence and success.
Now some 7 months later, Lee has returned to The DIY School to complete the Essential Plastering Course. Lee explained that he is now ready to go self employed and sees that the Essential Plastering Course will help him to meet the multi skilled demands of today’s demanding customers and enable him to win more lucrative jobs as his business develops.
