Tiling Course team, young Emma and her Mum Dee, make a geat job of learning and working together.
Tiling Course student Dee and her 13 year old daughter Emma came to the DIY School in Manchester as part of a unique school holiday activity. This is how it went.
In late 2007, Denise Hamilton enrolled on the 4 day Tiling Course with The DIY School in Stockport. Her objective over the 4 day Tiling Course was to learn enough about tiling in order to tackle the jobs in her extensive property redevelopment project in Hyde.
As it was the school holidays, Dee took advantage of The DIY Schools' parent and teenager offering and was able to bring her 13 year old daughter Emma on the Tiling Course with her at no extra cost
Now late 2008, Dee is very proud of what she and Emma have achieved and rightly so judging by the pictures of what she has done in her bathroom.
Dee said “I must say it took me a bit of courage to start this one, and at the time I thought I had bitten off more than I could chew... but I think the results speak for themselves. With lots of planning, cutting and several tubs of adhesive later, we had straight walls and a wonderful heated marble floor. I must say I did have to pat myself on the back!”
